Through the theme “The hinterland that changes because of Education,” Amigos do Bem promoted, from January 12th to January 22nd 2016, the “Pedagogical Training 2016” for 250 educators who work in the four Educational Centers and four Centers of Transformation, located in Alagoas, Ceará and Pernambuco.

In order to develop and enhance teachers’ skills and also to define the contents to be worked with children and youth, different workshops were developed. Some of them, are the workshops on Physical Education, English, Dance, Theatre, Computer, Cooking, Music, Hairdresser, Literacy, Portuguese and Mathematics. The educators of each educational area made part of workshops, working groups and practical and technical classes.

The centerpiece of 2016 program was the content presented by experts, as the master Celso Antunes, who talked about education with teachers and young people; the lawyer and professor of oratory João Batista de Oliveira, who spoke on the importance of communication in institutional relations to the families involved in the Project; and the coaching Sandra Raphael, who developed training courses for directors and coordinators of the Centers of Transformation.
2 The management teams received specific training courses. Furthermore, meetings were held to define the program of 2016 academic year. The aim of this training was to unify the methodology and content of the Educational Centers and Transformation Centers which are in three different States. However, regional culture and its specificities were observed. According to Eliana Hagge, pedagogical coordinator of Amigos do Bem, “The unification of educational programs is of utmost importance so that education can develop together.”
